Description and profile

Przegląd Epidemiologiczny - Epidemiological Review is a bilingual quarterly (English and Polish) published since 1920 by the National Institute of Hygiene (currently the National Institute of Public Health NIH - National Research Institute), and since 1958 together with the Polish Society of Epidemiologists and Infectious Disease Physicians.

The journal publishes:

1. original papers and reports in the field of epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious and non-communicable diseases; epidemiological analyzes and estimates;
2. experimental and methodological papers in the area of medical microbiology in the field of bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections and their impact on public health;
3. public health articles;
4. papers and clinical reports in the field of infectious diseases;
5. review articles in the field of epidemiology, prevention and clinic of infectious diseases and public health;
6. evaluation of books and publications in the above-mentioned fields and letters to the Editor.

Abstracts and full texts of published articles are available free of charge in Polish, and since 2013 also in English in PDF format on the website. The quarterly is indexed in:
